The cold has not yet knocked harshly on the door of the homeowners' communities. But this winter, gas will once again be the protagonist in domestic economies.
In the last quarter of 2022, the Government established special gas rates in communities of owners, the so-called neighborhood TUR , to relieve the pockets of families, which will come to an end on December 31, 2023, and which it plans to leave shivering back to homes.
One of the requirements to qualify for TUR 4 was Lebanon WhatsApp Number List that the communities had the heating cost allocators installed or committed to having them before September 30, 2023, despite the fact that the deadline to complete the installation had ended on May 1. of these devices in those buildings that are required.
However, this extension of the deadline has not had the desired effects. According to data from Ista, a company specialized in accounting for energy consumption, only 35% of the communities of owners of the million and a half homes with central heating have installed these devices.
A slowdown in the pace of installation that has led the Government to announce a new extension so that the communities that have already requested the installation of the devices and are benefiting from TUR 4, can proceed with their installation until October 2024, always and when they report technical or administrative difficulties.
“The Government is promoting the installation of individual heating accounting, and this additional period represents an additional incentive for the implementation of this energy efficiency initiative,” thinks Ignacio Abati, general director of Ista .
For Abati, “the Government has done its part with a transposition of the directives in accordance with what is required, but the actual implementation in the market is being slower than expected. It would be necessary to take a step forward in Spanish legislation to give a definitive push to this initiative, which entails very important savings of money (200 euros per family and year) and CO 2 emissions into the atmosphere."
Paradoxically, this extension is not applicable for the communities of owners who have completed the installation of the distributors and until now have benefited from the special gas rates, having to move to the free market from 2024.
