Many of the participants and organizers of the First Citizen Innovation Hackathon agree on the idea that this event will mark a before and after for the city. Taking a few words from the organizer of the event, Renato Rossello, I believe that the event demonstrated that opening data is important for the transparency of the administration, but above all to encourage innovation. So this hackathon was something very special and unique. During the Hackathon there was a lot of talk about open data and applications were developed, but above all there was talk about innovation and the possibilities that technology opens up for cities that are not country capitals were demonstrated.

Innovation and knowledge: an opportunity Ukraine Mobile Number List for sustainable development This panel headed by Felipe Buitrago (IDB) explained how creative industries can be an opportunity for cities. In Latin America it represents a business volume of more than 177,000 million dollars. José Fiates (Sapiens Park) explained Florianópolis' project to become a technology exporting city. Today, technology accounts for more than 40% of this city's GDP and the project continues to grow. Walter Gregoracci (Municipality of General Pueyrredón) explained the influence of technology in the development of Mar del Plata and the project for the creation of a technology park in the city.
The city as an entrepreneurial habitat Three experts in the area of entrepreneurship, Bezamat de Souza Neto, Pablo Sela, and Pedro Vera Castillo, explained the importance of having an adequate environment for entrepreneurship. Emprendesur is an initiative to promote entrepreneurship in South America that will hold its next meeting in Sao Paolo in November 2014 . The impact in Mar del Plata of the IDB's Emerging and Sustainable Cities initiative Horacio Terraza (BID) and Santiago Bonifatti (President of the Road and Public Lighting Entity of Mar del Plata) explained the IDB's Emerging and Sustainable Cities Initiative and the progress that Mar del Plata had made so far.
One of the most relevant conclusions was the prioritization of areas that had been made in the Initiative's Action Plan and that had served to select the hackathon topics. The implementation of the ICES methodology determined that the issues related to urban mobility, energy, drinking water, expense management and the comprehensive territorial development of the northwest area of the city are priorities for the city. Innovation and technology to improve the city using open data In this panel, the scope and possibilities of Electronic Government were discussed. Juan E. Drault (Mar del Plata Information and Communication Technologies Association - ATICMA ) explained the possibilities that there would be a hackathon for entrepreneurs, citizens and administrations to meet to talk about technology and innovation.
Daniel Abadie (City of Buenos Aires) and Luis Papagni (Province of Buenos Aires) explained the programs that several Argentine administrations were developing to bring the administration closer to citizens through technology and open data. Alejandra Rivero (Municipality of General Pueyrredón) explained the municipal open data program and announced the Mar del Plata open data portal and other municipal initiatives such as 147, the citizen service telephone number.
Developments with Google Glass from Mar del Plata Several Mar del Plata companies that develop applications with Google Glass presented the possibilities offered by new supports such as Google Glass and Wearables. Globant , a company that began trading on the New York Stock Exchange, showed a system that allows you to connect a sensor to count people with Google Analytics. One of the most interesting sessions was the one dedicated to the topic of applied technology. Benito Juárez, director of the Fab Lab of Peru , announced the state of Fab Labs in Latin America.
José Brunni spoke about the possibilities of educational robotics to develop computational thinking while in the demonstration room he showed several robots that some children were able to play with for a while. Finally, Martín Dalponte presented the LiTO project, an electric taxi design developed in Mar del Plata. Pedro Ferrando, specialist in multicopters and aerial images, explained and showed incredible images of what a quadcopter could do today. According to him, the first quadcopter was invented in 1860, but they have clearly evolved and today they can do incredible things like those shown in the video. Highly recommended!
Feature film, transmedia and crowdfunding The story of Nicolás Alcalá (Spain) is that of a young entrepreneur in love with cinema who at one point decides to listen to his instincts and relies on the power of the Internet to produce his first film, El Cosmonauta , in which more than 5000 people from all over the world and was financed thanks to Crowdfunding. Nicolás already has a new project and it will be in Argentina so I recommend you not to lose sight of him. Maybe you can help him in his next production.
